Healthy Seeds

Denise at Mom in Madison has done extensive research on buying seeds that do not come from Monsanto. It's said that Monsanto owns like 90% of seed companies.
That's an awfully lot of the pie.

In order to avoid gmo's and Monsanto's toxic practices, make sure you buy this spring from safe suppliers!
She's compiled a long list, and will gladly share. For a few starters, see her post here.

Remember to save some of your own for next year!

Just wanted to mention that some companies are also trying to get patents on many different seeds, this would mean that a company could actually own a plant variety. We just finished watching a DVD called The Future of Food that explained all about this and very much encouraged people to grow their vegetables, use open-pollinated seeds and save them.
